Who runs this site. Lantern Tools is run by SUMMERGRIND SRL, a company registered in Romania, CUI 43520619, J2021000100404. Write to support@lanternbi.com about anything on this page.

Your model files never leave your computer. The two files you drop, model.bim and model.vpax, are read inside your browser and the drawing is made there. They are not uploaded, not stored, not seen by us. If you close the tab, they are gone from the page; your browser may keep a copy in its local storage so you can reopen the tool, and you can clear that like any site data.

What we do count. We run our own copy of Umami, an open-source, cookie-free analytics tool, on our own server. For each visit it records the page, the time, the referring site, the browser type, screen size and country, and a few named actions in the tool such as "a model was drawn" or "a snapshot was taken". It never records anything about your model: no names, no numbers, no files. Visitors are told apart within a day by a salted hash that cannot be reversed and is discarded daily. No cookies are set and nothing is stored in your browser for this. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to under the ePrivacy rules; the legal basis for the counts is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works.

Server logs. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs, including IP addresses, for up to 14 days, to keep the site running and to notice abuse. Then they are deleted.

If you buy the pack. Payment is handled by Polar Software Inc. as the merchant of record. Polar receives your email address and payment details and issues the invoice and the license key; we never see your card. Polar sends us a notice of the paid order with your email address hashed, which we keep to count sales and support refunds. Polar's own privacy notice applies to what Polar holds.

If you leave your email. The optional line in the tool asks whether you would want to keep your models' history here. If you fill it in, we store your email address and your note on our own server, use them only to decide what to build and to tell you if we build it, and delete them on request. Nothing is sent to anyone else.

Your rights. Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP. Write to support@lanternbi.com; we answer within a month.

Changes. When this page changes, the date below changes with it.
